MY GUARDIAN ANGEL

There was a guardian angel named Laetitia.
She was very young and in guardian angel school with others of her kind. When she wasn't in training, she lived as a mortal among them so she could learn their dreams, their wants, their conflicts and the trouble they got themselves into.
Laetitia was an exceptional guardian angel and she was more powerful than she would ever know. There comes a time when a guardian angel must decide, do they want to continue to be a guardian or do they want to live as a mortal in the human world. The choice is not made lightly because once you give up your wings they are gone forever.
Laetitia took a long time to make her decision because in the world of the angels she felt disoriented, but in the land of the mortals she felt alone and sad.
Laetitia remembered something that had been said to her when she was very young, she couldn't remember who, but they said, "Even though you will become a beacon of hope, you will truly not be able to find your true calling until you stop being that person who wants to please the world. Until you find your feet and stand on them, until you show your bravery and say enough is enough."
In the end, Laetitia decided to join the world of the mortals and it was erased from her mind that she had been an angel, but it was never erased from her heart that she was a guardian and even though for many years she guarded herself, that beacon of light that came forth from her could not be hidden. The pains and perils of the mortal world took their toll on this incredible ex-angel but it didn't stop her from continuing her search for more and for better and she always went the extra mile to help those who needed it even though sometimes she needed more help than they did.
There were several guardian angels who had gone to school with this incredible beacon and some of them, like her, had chosen the mortal world and others had chosen to stay guardian angels and help the masses the best they could. Laetitia did not remember those beings that were so special to her long ago but the ones who did not become mortal remembered her and watched her as she slept and tried to take away her suffering and tried to hide memories that hurt her deep within her so they could not see the light of day.
Laetitia's guardians watched over her through the years. They gently moved good souls into her path and evil ones away from her sight. They whispered in the ears of others who truly loved her as a mortal so that subconsciously they would know how truly amazing she was and they would treat her as the amazing angel that she would always be.
The angels couldn't agree on whether or not to warn her about the gentleman who would change her life (to everyone's surprise she chose him) and who would cause her more pain than anyone else had, but in the end they trusted their wonderful ex-sister and in the end their trust was substantiated because yes this gentleman did hurt her. But, it put her two feet under her and she found her strength and from that day forth she didn't try to please the world. She was there for those who needed it and she stuck up for those who asked for her help and even those who didn't.
And the guardian angels who watched over her thought it was the most amazing thing in the world when she once again learned how to fly through the air and dream amongst the clouds. She was more then a 99 and she knew it in her heart. They celebrated when she traveled the world as a mortal. She had truly created the best of both worlds for herself. She had wings, she loved, she mothered, she dreamed, she lived, she amazed and her story continues.
The words put in order by Lorelai Huffman, but the story is about my guardian angel
